Chicago O’Hare International Airport

Chicago is served by two major airports, including O’Hare International Airport – voted the "Best Airport in North America" for 10 years by readers of Business Traveler Magazine (1998 – 2003) and Global Traveler Magazine (2004 – 2007).

Located 17 miles northwest of the Chicago Loop, O’Hare International Airport is the second busies airport in the world, with 881,566 aircraft taking off and landing last year, shuttling 69,353,654 passengers. O’Hare Airport is the largest hub for United Airlines – headquartered in downtown Chicago – and the second-largest hub of American Airlines. The airport is a major international gateway to destinations spanning the globe.

Drivers can get to and from O’Hare International Airport via I-190 (Kennedy Expressway), which branches off to downtown Chicago. Cars cal also access the airport from Mannheim Road, the airport’s eastern boundary. Travelers and tourists can take the subway trains from the Blue Line of the CTA’s “L”, which arrive and depart the terminal from an underground station. Commuter trains from the Metra North Central Service also stop at the O’Hare Transfer station, which is connected to the Airport Transit System via a shuttle bus. You can also find taxis and limos available outside baggage claim areas.
